How to Grow your Linked In

The Solution that Works

Building your personal brand on LinkedIn is absolutely crucial in the next two years, and I can't stress enough how valuable and powerful it can be. LinkedIn is like the bustling city of B2B social media, where startups, big brands, and Fortune 500 companies all come together. It's a platform with immense potential!

Now you wonder why it’s vital to make your mark?

  • Audience Insights: LinkedIn is evolving, and soon we'll have even more data about its audience. Understanding who you're connecting with can help you tailor your content effectively.

  • Content Dynamics: Knowing how content works on LinkedIn is the key to success. You'll want to leverage the platform's unique content dynamics to stand out and engage your audience.

I’m going to walk you through some of the most important lessons, backtesting and actionable tips that will skyrocket your overall brand, audience and reach on LinkedIn.

Let’s get to it. 👇

The Art of Engaging Content on LinkedIn

Currently the most effective content types on LinkedIn include:

  • Carousels (3-5 Cards): These are the Most Valuable Players (MVP) in engaging the audience, providing succinct yet comprehensive insights.

  • Single Frame Value Content (SFVC): These are concise and impactful, perfect for a platform where brevity is appreciated.

  • Powerful Quotes: Aesthetically pleasing images of powerful quotes resonate well, often serving as motivation or reflection points for professionals.

  • Business Memes: Relatable and timely, they add a lighter touch to the professional atmosphere of LinkedIn.

  • Copy Length: Keeping your copy between 16-25 characters ensures it's impactful yet digestible.

I’ve also been experimenting with posting “Video Content” that seems to be on it’s way up.

Weekly Content Scheduling - A Tactical Approach

Consistency is key on LinkedIn, if you are going to spend all this time reading, researching and strategising , you better be implementing it!

Here’s an quick example of a basic weekly schedule:

  • Monday: Kickstart the week with a powerful quote to engage and motivate your audience.

  • Tuesday: Share a value-added carousel and a newsletter post.

  • Wednesday: Post a user-generated content (UGC) image.

  • Thursday: Tap into the zeitgeist with a business meme on a trending topic.

  • Friday: End the workweek with another informative carousel.

  • Saturday: Delve into SFVC.

  • Sunday: Share an insightful post about your journey.

Experimenting with different times and geographies using a VPN can help in understanding the best time to post for maximum engagement.

If you are not leveraging AI and Scheduling tools, mark my words you WILL fall behind.
